Encarnita is a LMFT specializing in individual, couples and family therapy and maintains a private practice in Houston, Texas. She is also endorsed as Supervisor by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists.

With over 30 years experience as a therapist, and a graduate of Instituto Psicologico de Puerto Rico (now Universidad Dr.Carlos Albizu) in San Juan, Puerto Rico specializing in Clinical Psychology, she is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are marital problems, parenting skills, stress, work concerns, acculturation, coping with a chronic illness, retirement, self confidence, loss and grief, parenting your parents.

In addition, Encarnita has presented at National conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of parenting, relationships, loss and grief and acculturation.

Encarnita is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they’re striving for.
